Organic Honeybush Tea

A close sibling of the better known rooibos, honeybush has a similar flavour, although is slightly fuller-bodied with a sweeter, honey-like taste reminiscent of the sweet aroma that its flowers produce.

Hand-harvested by cutting and gathering the leaves, stems, and twigs, honeybush is lovingly sorted, processed and fermented to let the unique characteristics and flavours develop.

Cultivated in South Africa where it has been used traditionally to treat a variety of conditions for centuries, honeybush became more widely available to the rest of the world at the beginning of the 1800s. It is known to have positive effects on the respiratory system, aid digestion, support immune function, as well as possess antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Honeybush is also high in vitamins with many of its health benefits linked to its high levels of antioxidants. Naturally caffeine-free, it makes for the perfect brew for any time of the day or night.

Serving Suggestion: Brew 1 heaped teaspoon per cup for about 5-7 minutes in boiling water (100ºC).
